When the day started I never would have guessed the story about Justin Henderson leaving Blazin’ Racing would pop up and get more reads in half a day than Kyle Larson’s sweep of the International Midget Car Series. From what I’ve been able to gather so far its the typical tail team and driver not seeing eye to eye on something and parted ways. Henderson had nothing bad to say about his former employers and is actively searching for a new team to drive for in 2013. The Henderson/Blazin’ Racing combination made a big splash last year with success all over the Midwest. Talking to other industry insiders this driver/team break up was a shock to virtually everyone. At this point we have no idea on who will be the new driver for Blazin’ Racing for 2013.

On the other end of the driver/team spectrum Jason Blonde informed us he is going back to the T&T Promotions / Dowker team car for the 2013 season. Blonde will drive the famous #42 car on the entire Auto Value Super Sprint circuit and select Must See Racing programs. Blonde’s former team, the Suellen Wishe owned biosbased.us sponsored entry, will have Jimmy McCune driving and maintaining the team with Geoff Kaiser also driving McCune’s team car for 2013.
